Botanical Gardens of Jose de la Borda
The beautiful botanical gardens of Spaniard Jose de la Borda were first constructed in 1763. Later
the Jardin Borda became the summer home of Hapsburg Emperor of Mexico, Maximilian and his wife Carlotta in the mid 1800s. The gardens now include visiting art exhibitions and a permanent exhibition of
archaelogical finds and 17th century furniture and clothing.The Jardin Borda is within 2 blocks of La Villa Bonita. |
